Semester Final. (my trip to mexico)

This photo of the sunset is amazing because the colors look very nice and the ocean looks well too.
I took this photo in Puerto Vallarta. The sunset at the beach is always the best.

This photo is very nice because you can see the landscape in the back and also the name of the place your entering. This is the mountain view of the Pueblo (town) in mexico I was staying in. "Puente De Camoltan, Nayarit".

This photo of the "Plaza" in mexico is very nice because you get to see a little bit of everything that is there. Like the sky, the temple, mountains, etc.

I like this photo because the rain drops look very nice and the texture on the raindrops looks good.

This is a good photo because of the light from the sunshine, they palms look very nice also. I took this photo in "Los Guayabitos" Nayarit, at a hotel I was staying in.

A project that would interest me 2nd semester would be, taking photos of the neighborhood or anything outside of the school.

I think Mr. Farley has a "Hecka Free Zone" because he would rather you say "hella" than "hecka."

Our group was inspired by Miner White because of his beautiful creative photographs. He is somewhat different from others, he takes many pictures of nature. His pictures are really nice. They are something that you wouldn't always see around.

10 Tips.

1. Alter Your Perspective

• Most portraits are taken with the camera at (or around) the eye level of the subject. While this is good common sense – completely changing the angle that you shoot from can give your portrait a real WOW factor.

2. Play with Eye Contact

• It is amazing how much the direction of your subject’s eyes can impact an image. Most portraits have the subject looking down the lens – something that can create a real sense of connection between a subject and those viewing the image.

3. Break the Rules of Composition

• There are a lot of ‘rules’ out there when it comes to composition and I’ve always had a love hate relationship with them. My theory is that while they are useful to know and employ that they are also useful to know so you can purposely break them – as this can lead to eye catching results.

4. Experiment with Lighting

• Another element of randomness that you can introduce to your portraits is the way that you light them. There are almost unlimited possibilities when it comes to using light in portraits.

5. Move Your Subject Out of their Comfort Zone

• Add a prop of some kind into your shots and you create another point of interest that can enhance your shot.

8. Focus Upon One Body Part – Get Close Up

• Get a lens with a long focal length attached to your camera – or get right in close so that you can just photograph a part of your subject. Photographing a person’s hands, eyes, mouth or even just their lower body… can leave a lot to the imagination of the viewer of an image.

9. Obscure Part of your Subject

• A variation on the idea of zooming in on one part of the body is to obscure parts of your portrait subject’s face or body. You can do this with clothing, objects, their hands or just by framing part of them out of the image.

10. Take a Series of Shots

• Switch your camera into ‘burst’ or ‘continuous shooting’ mode and fire off more than one shot at a time.

Artistic Review Bryan Farley's Page.

Mr. Farley's photography website is really nice. He has a lot of pictures , many to choose from. He takes amazing pictures that may even inspire others. There can be some changes that could help the website look better and more presentable. From 1-10 i rate Mr. Farley's website an 8.

Mr. Farley has 25 single galleries ,very organized and great pictures. Some categories of photography he takes are of people mostly, nature and many random things that catch his eye.For example he has pictures of his kids of course , he has a girl and a boy. Galleries of crying children,landscape and peoples tattoos. All his pictures look very nice.

The way his website is set up is good, it just needs a few touches to it. In my opinion I think it needs to look a little more presentable. Make things pop-out more, grab the reviewers attention. I think making it more colorful would be better. I understand Mr. Farley likes to keep things simple but giving it a little touch would make the website more interesting.
